What do all these terms mean?
What is Embodiment or Somatic Coaching?
Somatic coaching beautifully highlights the connection between your mind and body, inviting you to explore and understand the incredible interplay of your physical sensations, emotions, and thoughts. Together, through heartfelt conversations and increased mind-body connection, weâll enhance your self-awareness, nurture personal growth, and tackle challenges by harmonizing the mental and physical parts of your experience. This holistic journey empowers you to achieve your goals and gracefully navigate the complexities of life.
What does Integrative mean?
The traditional health and wellness model often treats the mind, body, and emotions as separate, isolated parts. As an Integrative Practitioner, I work to heal this division by supporting the whole personâmind, body, soul, and emotionsâthrough a unified approach. My coaching blends embodiment and somatic practices to help clients move beyond mental noise and reconnect with their inner wisdom through physical sensation and emotional awareness. This holistic approach creates a deeper sense of clarity, balance, and self-awareness, allowing for lasting transformation and a more conscious, thriving life.
What is Parts Work?
Parts Work involves exploring different aspects of yourselfâoften referred to as âpartsâ or sub-personalities. These parts represent various emotions, beliefs, and life experiences. Some may be protective, while others carry unresolved pain or unmet needs.
This approach is rooted in Internal Family Systems (IFS), a therapeutic model developed by Richard Schwartz, Ph.D. IFS views the mind as made up of multiple parts, each with its own perspective, emotion, and roleâall of which are worthy of compassion and understanding.
In our sessions, we use both dialogue and a somatic (body-based) approach to connect with these parts. By tuning into physical sensations and emotional cues, we create space for these inner aspects to be seen, felt, and heardânot just through the mind, but through the body as well.
By building compassionate relationships with your parts, we create space for healing, integration, and greater internal harmony. This process deepens self-awareness, enhances emotional resilience, and supports you in navigating life with more clarity and compassion.
Can I purchase just one session?
In addition to the 30-45 complimentary Discovery Call I offer to see if we are a good fit for this work, you may purchase a single or a few individual sessions. I am open to shorter explorations with a client, with the understanding that we may just get to scratch the surface and find some clarity and direction. The type of transformational work I provide is best suited for a series so that we may not only get to the heart of the matter, but dive deep into rewiring long held patterns for true lasting growth.
Who this work is NOT for:
- Someone who needs intensive trauma work. While my coaching can help with certain elements of past trauma, it cannot substitute for comprehensive therapeutic work with a licensed mental health professional, particularly if there is significant unresolved traumaÂ
- Someone dealing with active addiction
- Searching for quick fixes or immediate results: My coaching emphasizes developing deep awareness and fostering lasting change through embodied practices, which often require time and consistent effort rather than instant solutionsÂ
- Are resistant to self-reflection or body awareness: The process requires close attention to physical sensations and emotions, which can be uncomfortable or challenging for individuals who tend to avoid introspection.Â
- Have acute crisis situations: If someone is experiencing a severe mental health crisis, immediate professional support is necessary, not coaching as the primary intervention.Â
- Prefer purely cognitive approaches: My coaching relies primarily on body-centered practices, so those who only wish to address issues through talk therapy may not find it suitable.Â
- Lack of commitment to personal growth: This type of coaching requires active participation and a commitment to exploring one’s physical and emotional experiences in order to achieve meaningful change.
Discover Your Innate Wisdom.
All you need to know is stored within you. During the coaching process, I will guide you with deep compassion towards your inner-knowing and deep self-love, informed by what we find. The challenges, resistance, and unhelpful patterns give us beautiful and insightful information to utilize. Here, we move into alchemization, transforming the dark into the transcendent light. This is a blooming and unfolding of your layers. This work goes beyond perspective shifts or cognitive behavioral therapy. It is healing and nourishing on the soul level. I’m excited and honored to share it with you!
